Whoops - Righteous Fury!

Had a bit of a boo-boo last night. We were storming through Kara as usual, and when we got to Moroes, we assigned the kill order as usual, and engaged.

I was having a hell of a time keeping aggro off our OT, and noticed my TPS absolutely sucked. Wound out blowing everything I had on Moroes, chugged mana potions to keep it up, and only just managed to get aggro back off him and hold it tentatively. It was completely ridiculous.

It was only after the fight that it twigged. My Righteous Fury had expired just before we engaged, so I was tanking with no threat bonus! No wonder I was having such a hard time of it...

Big red face moment there for me. However, we made a great comeback from that point. Attumen, Moroes, Maiden, Romulo & Julianne, and Curator down in one night (3.5 hours). We dropped Curator with zero deaths, no serious mana strain, and about 15 seconds after the 3rd Evocation.

Next up, Shade of Aran and Chess.

As awesome as the effect of Righteous Fury is (threat buff, some straight mitigation with no real negatives), with it being a buff instead of something you can activate like an aura, stance, or form I've lost count of how many times I've had it fall off or I forget to recast it after a death. It's so annoying.

Tempted to make a suggestion on the WoW forums for it to be like an stance or something. Still fine with it having a mana cost (hell I would be fine with it having an increased mana cost if it was a longer term buff and remained through death).

If nothing else, it remaining though death would make combat rezzes not as bad, because once you pop up from being dead, in order to tank effectively you have to immediately throw away 708 mana.

I'd go for a mod that put a huge "CAST RF U NUB" in the middle of your screen if you're both targetting a boss and its current target and don't have RF up :)

Hmm. Easy mod idea. Might have to write that :P

There are numerous mods that do that, but I'd rather have it be something implemented in-game, since mods would only help those who use it. Something in-game would help us all.

I use smartbuff for all my buffing/debuffing needs, simple and effective...

Although, something in game would be very welcome! ;)

Hmm WoWInterface has a mod called AnnoyingBuffReminder. haven't tried it, so don't know how well it works. http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info7201-1.6.html

haha I've done that before. Almost started chastising one of the DPS for not controlling threat...when I noticed that a certain buff wasn't up. >_>

I've done that a couple times, though only in 5 mans (a couple heroics). Nothing like the feeling after you realize you didn't have it up... but still managed to hold aggro :)
